Planner scrolls horizontally when clicking on a task

When I'm clicking on any task in Microsoft Planner it scrolls two or three buckets to the left or to the right automatically. Doesn't happen with every click but like every second one.

This applies to Planner in Chrome as well as the Teams desktop app and also to several users in my organisation.

How do I make it stop?

    Hi Mike

    This is a public community forum, so we don't have access to your Microsoft 365 tenant and can't investigate Planner service issues directly.

    Since the behavior occurs in both Chrome and the Teams desktop app and affects multiple users, it is more likely to be a Planner service/UI issue than a browser-specific problem.

    Please check:

    1. Whether the issue only occurs in Board view.
    2. Whether the plan is grouped by Bucket when the scrolling happens.
    3. Whether switching to another grouping option (Assigned to, Progress, Due date, etc.) changes the behavior.

    If the issue persists, please ask your Microsoft 365 administrator to:

    1. Review the Microsoft 365 Service Health dashboard for any Planner-related advisories.
    2. Open a support request from the Microsoft 365 Admin Center:
      • Admin Center → Help & Support → New Service Request
    3. Provide Microsoft with a screen recording showing the unexpected horizontal scrolling and confirm that multiple users are affected.

    This will allow the Planner support team to collect logs and investigate further.
