Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Hi @Teamsohe,
To help narrow down the cause of the issue, could you please provide a bit more information?
- Are the snapshots missing completely, or are the attachments still visible but no longer previewing?
- How were the snapshots added to the email, for example, by pressing Ctrl + V, dragging and dropping them into the message, or attaching them as image files?
- Does this affect all emails or only messages from a specific sender?
- Do the snapshots appear if you open the same email in Outlook on the web (OWA)?
Meanwhile, please try updating Office by going to File > Office Account > Update Options > Update Now, as some Outlook image and attachment display issues have been resolved through recent Office updates.
You can also test Outlook in Safe Mode by pressing Windows + R, typing outlook.exe /safe, and then opening one of the affected emails.
If the snapshots appear correctly in Safe Mode, that would suggest an Outlook add-in may be interfering with attachment preview functionality. In that case, you can go to File> Options > section Add-ins and temporarily disable any recently installed or non-essential add-ins, then restart Outlook and test again to see whether the issue persists.
If you have any updates after reviewing the questions above and trying the suggested troubleshooting steps, please let me know the results. The additional information will help me better understand the behavior and determine the most appropriate next troubleshooting steps.
Thank you for your time.
