Yes, you can usually simplify this, but it depends on where the folders are currently stored.
If these are files across OneDrive, SharePoint sites, Teams, or different document libraries, they are separate storage locations, so there isn't a single setting that automatically moves everything into one place.
A practical approach is:
• Choose one SharePoint document library or OneDrive folder as the main document location.
• Move or reorganize the folders into that location.
• Use clear top-level folders such as Projects, Finance, HR, Reports, etc., rather than creating many deeply nested folders.
• For SharePoint/Teams, you can also use metadata, views, and filters instead of creating a separate folder for every category.
Before moving anything, make sure existing sharing permissions and links won't be affected, especially for SharePoint and Teams files.
