Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi Bruce,
Since you have access to the new tenant, you can reach out to Data Protection Team on behalf of the old tenant through the ticket system.
Ticket Support: In the Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Support > Help & Support.
In your ticket description, you'll need to clearly explain that you're trying to regain access to your previous Microsoft 365 tenant and need help from the Data Protection team. Here's a message you can use or adapt:
"Hello, I’m currently unable to access my previous Microsoft 365 tenant. I’m the global admin, but I’m locked out. I kindly ask to be connected with the Data Protection team to verify my identity and help me recover access to the original tenant.
This is urgent, as I rely on Microsoft 365 for my work and have been unable to operate for several days. I’m available to provide any documentation or verification needed to support the recovery process."
If your organization's subscription is from a partner or reseller: Contact the reseller's support provider to help open a service request on behalf of you instead.
When contacting Microsoft, be prepared to verify ownership of the subscription. You may be asked for information such as:
- Organization name
- Billing or payment information
- Registered phone number
- Alternate email address
I hope this provides enough clarity and helps you stay inform with your current situation.
Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.
