Accidentally input wrong date of birth on account, now locked out via parental controls

Hello,

We are using new HP laptops for our point of sales system. When we set up the first laptop under the email [Removed PII]@shoptradingpost.com), we accidentally put the incorrect date of birth and now the account is considered too young/a children's account.

Is there a way for us to change the date of birth on the account? Since we are considered underage ALL the settings are grayed out making it unable for us to change them.

We need this computer so we can run the sales of our business and at this time we cannot even use the laptop because of timing restrictions.

    The birth date restriction is tied to that Microsoft account, not permanently to the HP laptop. Since this is a business point-of-sale computer, the quickest practical option may be to stop using the affected personal account for Windows sign-in.

    Here are some suggestions you can try:

    If another administrator account exists on the laptop, sign in to it. Open Settings > Accounts > Other users > Add account, then choose I don’t have this person’s sign-in information > Add a user without a Microsoft account. Make the new account an administrator and use it for the POS system. Windows supports separate local or work accounts on the same device. Manage user accounts in Windows

    If the company has a Microsoft 365 business account, connect that instead through Settings > Accounts > Access work or school > Connect. This avoids using a personal Family Safety account for a business device. Join a work device

    If no administrator account is available, back up any business files and use Windows Recovery > Reset this PC > Remove everything, then configure Windows with the correct business account. Resetting reinstalls Windows and removes the existing accounts, applications, and settings. Reset your PC
