If you haven't tried it yet, first, confirm the backup drive appears normally in File Explorer and you can open it.

Then go to Control Panel > File History > Select drive and check whether the correct drive is listed. Select it again if needed, then try "Run now."

If it still says "Connect drive," to help narrow down the issue:

Is this an external USB drive, and does Windows show it in File Explorer?

Does the drive appear under "Select drive" in File History?

Did anything change before this started, such as a Windows update, reconnecting the drive, or its drive letter changing?

Thanks for your post it turned out to be the last Windows Update Once removed, FH works
