Try these steps in order:
- Run the Windows network troubleshooter.
- Go to Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot.
- Select Other Troubleshooters or Additional Troubleshooters.
- Run Network Adapter.
- Check whether the Wi-Fi network works on another device.
- If the same Wi-Fi does not appear or connect on a phone or tablet, the issue is likely with the router or modem.
- If it works on another device, the issue is likely on the PC.
- Restart the modem and Wi-Fi router.
- After the restart, try connecting again.
- Turn Airplane mode on, then off.
- Go to Start > Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode.
- Turn Airplane mode On, then Off.
- Select Wi-Fi and make sure Wi-Fi is On.
- Force restart the device.
- Select Start > Power > Shut down.
- Wait a moment.
- Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
- If the logo appears after a few seconds, keep holding until the logo appears again.
- Reinstall the Wi-Fi driver.
- Open Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters.
- Double-click the wireless adapter.
- Open the Driver tab and select Uninstall Device.
- Select Delete the driver software for this device and confirm.
- Restart the PC.
- Install updates.
- If internet is available through Ethernet, open Windows Update and install the latest Windows and device updates.
- If internet is not available, use another PC to download the driver package to a USB drive, copy it to the affected PC, and install it.
Important: uninstalling the driver is a higher-risk troubleshooting step because network access can remain unavailable until restart or driver reinstall completes.
