Impossible to change password of Hotmail because of malfunction Microsoft

Tried to simply change my hotmail password, as I do regularly. Cannot authenticate myself because Microsoft Authenticator is not installed. Sending a code to my gmail account does not work: no mail received in my gmail inbox. Tried again: no mail in gmail. Cannot install Authenticator because, again, sending a code to my gmail does not function.

So I'm stuck, I cannot change my hotmail password.

And btw why do I have to agree to receive Microsoft promo in order to use this platform?
