Hello,

I am a current full-time student at [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]

I attempted to activate Azure for Students using my university academic email. The academic verification process did not complete properly, and no Azure for Students subscription was created.

Now I am experiencing the following issues:

  • My academic email is shown as “This email account has already been used for verification this year.”
  • Azure Portal shows no active subscriptions.
  • When I try Azure for Students again, I receive “Unable to complete Azure verification for students.”
  • When I sign in directly using my university account, Azure says “You are not eligible to renew Azure for Students,” although I have never successfully received an Azure for Students subscription.
  • I also cannot create a normal Azure support request because I do not have an active subscription.
  • The Azure for Education support link redirects me to Engage Center, where my university account shows “Access denied.”

Could a Microsoft moderator please help check whether my Azure for Students verification or subscription provisioning is stuck in an incomplete state?

If necessary, could this case please be escalated to the Azure for Students / Subscription Management team so they can review or reset my academic verification and allow me to complete activation?

Thank you.

    Dear @LU, XIZHEN [Student],

Good day! Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum!

Based on your description, I understand that your academic verification process did not complete properly because your academic email is shown as “This email account has already been used for verification this year”.

This issue may require further review by the Azure for Education Support team, particularly regarding the problematic email verification process.

Before contacting Azure for Education Support team, I recommend confirming the following with your university's IT department or student affairs office:

    • Whether they reassign someone else's old account to you could affect the verification of your eligibility.

You indicated that the support link redirects you to the Engage Center, where your university account shows "Access denied." This is entirely normal, as your institution may have policies restricting student access to certain websites.

Since you have already verified with your school's IT department that there are no issues with your account, I recommend requesting IT to submit a support ticket with Azure for Education Support. As the account administrators, they possess the authority to open tickets and address the issue on your behalf.

Please note that this is a community forum where users help each other. I do not have access to approve Azure for Students subscriptions.

Thank you for your kindness and understanding!
