I got my card renewed, so all my subscriptions on my phone got cancelled. Ive re-bought the 100gb onedrive storage, but it wont show up, and it's been weeks now. I keep getting emails about my files getting deleted soon, actually in just 10 days. But I already paid for it to not get deleted!

I don't know how to fix this.

    Hi @Jenny Ey

Since you purchased the 100 GB again weeks ago, I would not keep waiting for the storage to update. Microsoft says the new quota normally appears within 24 hours, and if it hasn't updated after 48 hours, you should contact Support.

    I'd check these things first:

Sign in to account.microsoft.com with the exact Microsoft account that owns the OneDrive files.

Go to Services & subscriptions and confirm the 100 GB OneDrive subscription shows as active.

In OneDrive, open Manage storage and check whether the quota actually shows the additional storage.

Make sure the purchase wasn't made against a different Microsoft account. This is fairly easy to do on a phone if multiple Microsoft accounts are signed in. Microsoft specifically lists this as a possible reason the subscription isn't appearing.

If the subscription is active on the correct account but OneDrive still shows the old quota, contact Microsoft Support and provide the order/purchase confirmation. Don't post the order number publicly.

Also, don't ignore the deletion warning. If OneDrive is still reporting that you're over your storage limit, the warning can continue. Microsoft says that when the storage limit is exceeded, the account can become restricted and, after the applicable period, files may be deleted.

If files have already disappeared, immediately check the OneDrive Recycle Bin. Microsoft 365 subscribers can also use Restore your OneDrive to roll the whole OneDrive back to an earlier point, where applicable.

The most important thing I'd verify is: Does the 100 GB purchase show as active under the same Microsoft account that owns the files? If yes, this is likely a subscription/quota provisioning issue that Microsoft Support needs to fix rather than something you should try to repair by deleting files.

If the 100 GB storage still does not appear after weeks, the most likely issue is that the storage purchase is not showing on the same Microsoft account that is receiving the deletion warnings, or the storage quota has not updated correctly.

    Use this path:

    1. Sign in to Manage storage and refresh the page.
      • Microsoft notes that storage changes can take up to 24 hours to appear.
      • Since it has already been weeks, the quota should already be visible if it was applied correctly.
    2. Verify that the account signed in there is the exact same Microsoft account that received the OneDrive deletion emails.
      • Microsoft notes that some people have more than one Microsoft account, including a personal account created with a work or school email, or an extra account created for services such as Samsung Gallery.
      • If the warning is for a different account, buying storage on one account will not protect files in the other account.
    3. If the account is over quota, reduce storage usage immediately.
      • Go to Manage your OneDrive storage to see what is taking space and empty the Recycle bin.
      • If a shared folder pushed the account over quota, remove that shared folder from OneDrive.
    4. Check whether the account is frozen because of storage overage or long inactivity.
      • When storage is exceeded, files become read-only and new uploads/edits/sync stop.
      • After 6 months over quota, OneDrive files may be deleted and those deletions are non-recoverable.
    5. If the purchased storage still does not show on the correct account, contact Microsoft Support now.
      • Use Contact Microsoft Support.
      • On mobile, support can also be contacted from the OneDrive app by opening the app and gently shaking the device.
      • Include that the storage was repurchased weeks ago, the quota still does not appear, and deletion emails say files will be erased in 10 days.

    Important points:

    • To stop files from being erased after a deletion warning, the account must be reactivated by signing in before the date shown in the notification.
    • If the warning was triggered by storage overage, getting back under the quota or making sure the paid storage is attached to the correct account is required.
    • If the storage purchase is attached to the wrong Microsoft account, support is needed to sort out the account/subscription mismatch.
