    Hi @Margaret Goodrem
If you've already tried multiple cards from different banks, I’d check the Microsoft billing account and payment details rather than continuing to try different cards.

    A few things to verify:

Go to account.microsoft.com → Payment & billing and check whether there is an existing payment method that has expired or needs attention.

Make sure the billing address, country/region, postcode, and cardholder name match what your bank has on file. Even a small mismatch can cause the payment method to be rejected.

Check that the Microsoft account's country/region matches the country where the card was issued.

If you're trying this through the Microsoft 365 renewal page, try adding the payment method from the Microsoft account Payment options page instead.

Try an InPrivate/Incognito browser session or a different browser, particularly if the payment page is repeatedly failing.

If the bank is declining the authorization, the bank may need to allow the transaction. Ask them specifically whether they are blocking an online/international Microsoft transaction.

Also check whether Microsoft is showing a specific error code or message when you add the card. That is usually much more useful than the fact that the card was rejected.

I wouldn't post the card number, CVV, or other payment details here. If you can share a screenshot of the error message only (with personal/payment information hidden), we may be able to narrow down whether this is a Microsoft billing issue, region mismatch, or bank authorization problem.

    Hi Margaret,

Good day. This is more cause on a billing or account side issue rather than the card itself, specially if multiple cards from different banks are being rejected.

    Try these steps:

    1. Sign in directly to your Microsoft account and open Services & subscriptions.
    2. Select your Microsoft 365 subscription > Manage > Change payment method.
    3. If the card is rejected again, try adding the payment method from a different browser or an InPrivate or Incognito mode window.
    4. Make sure the billing address and country or region on your Microsoft account match the details registered with the bank.
    5. If several different cards still fail, stop trying additional cards for now. At this point, the account's billing profile or a temporary payment restriction may need to be checked by Microsoft Support.

You can share the exact error message you're getting when the card is added, that would help narrow this down. Don't post the card number or other payment details.

    Regards,
    Jhun
