Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Try these fixes in order:
- Make sure the same account is signed in to both OneDrive and the Microsoft 365 app.
- Select the OneDrive cloud icon in the taskbar notification area.
- Go to Help & Settings > Settings > Account and note the signed-in account.
- Open the affected Microsoft 365 app, then go to File > Account.
- Under Connected Services, remove any accounts except the same account used in OneDrive.
- In OneDrive, go to Help & Settings > Pause syncing, choose a time, then Help & Settings > Quit OneDrive.
- Close all Microsoft 365 apps, restart OneDrive and the app, then try saving again.
- Clear cached OneDrive and Office credentials.
- Open the affected Microsoft 365 app and go to File > Account.
- Under User Information, sign out of all accounts.
- Close all Microsoft 365 apps.
- Open Credential Manager from Start.
- Select Windows Credentials.
- Under Generic Credentials, remove entries related to OneDrive, MicrosoftOffice16, and MicrosoftOffice15.
- Restart OneDrive and the affected Microsoft 365 app, sign in again with the same account, and test saving.
- Clear the OneDrive cached credential file.
- Press Windows key + R.
- Enter %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\settings and select OK.
- Delete PreSignInSettingsConfig.json.
- Start OneDrive again and sign in.
- Unlink and relink OneDrive if the issue continues.
- This can fix OneDrive configuration issues.
- Install all available Windows updates.
- After updates are installed, restart the Microsoft 365 app and try saving again.
- If the issue still is not resolved, uninstall and reinstall OneDrive.
- This does not remove files or data. Files remain available through OneDrive online.
For the message "The feature has been disabled by your administrator" on a home Windows setup, update Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft 365, restart the device, and sign out and back in. If the device is managed by an organization, the restriction can come from organization security policy and must be reviewed by the organization IT admin.
