    Dear @Jingyou Chen

First, go to Services & subscriptions and check that your Personal subscription is active:

When you switch from Personal to Family, the remaining time on your Personal subscription is converted and added to the Family subscription. For this specific switch, 92% of the remaining time is converted.

Microsoft also has a step-by-step guide specifically for upgrading from Personal to Family:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/subscriptions/switch-between-microsoft-365-subscriptions

If you purchased your current subscription through Apple, Google Play, or another third-party provider, you may need to manage the subscription through that provider instead.

    Best regards,
    Bence

    Hi, @Jingyou Chen

You can switch from Microsoft 365 Personal to Family.

If you haven't already, first, sign in here with the Microsoft account that has your Personal subscription: https://account.microsoft.com/services Check whether Microsoft 365 Personal shows as active.

If the subscription is billed directly by Microsoft, you can purchase Microsoft 365 Family using the same Microsoft account. Your remaining Personal subscription time will be converted and added to the Family subscription.

If it was purchased through Apple, Google Play, or another retailer, the subscription may need to be changed through that provider instead.

    To help narrow this down:

    1. Does Microsoft 365 Personal show as active on the Services page?
    2. Does it say the subscription is billed by Microsoft or another provider?
    3. Are you trying to switch to Family now, or when your Personal subscription renews?

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Thanks!

To switch from Microsoft 365 Personal to Microsoft 365 Family, buy the Microsoft 365 Family subscription using the same Microsoft account as the current Personal subscription.

If switching to a plan with more features:

    1. Buy the Microsoft 365 Family subscription.
    2. Use the same Microsoft account as the current subscription.
    3. Start using the Family benefits right away.
    4. The remaining days on the Personal subscription are automatically converted and added to the new Family subscription.

For this specific upgrade, the remaining time from Microsoft 365 Personal converts to Microsoft 365 Family at 92%.

    What changes after switching:

    • Microsoft 365 Family can be used by up to six people.
    • Each person can install Microsoft 365 on all their devices and be signed in to five devices at a time.
    • Subscription sharing becomes available.
    • OneDrive storage size per user does not change.

If the subscription was purchased through a third-party billing partner such as Apple App Store, Google Play, or certain retail partners, subscription changes are managed by that partner, and switching options may depend on them.
