My 365 account appears to have gone away. My emails stopped updating. When I try to access my 365 account online, I'm redirected to a CoPilot page - its as if my account no longer exists. From my PC, I can open Outlook, but my mail has not been updated in weeks. I did have a problem with my credit card; but the new credit card info has my updated? How can I get my account back?

    Hi, @Steve Barreca

Since you mentioned a credit card problem, first check whether the Microsoft 365 subscription is still active on the account.

Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/services Does Microsoft 365 show as Active, Expired, or is it missing completely?

Also check: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders Make sure the date range includes your most recent payment. Does it show as Completed, Declined, or something else?

If the subscription looks active, to help narrow down the email issue:

    1. Can you sign in normally at https://account.microsoft.com with the same email address used for Microsoft 365?
    2. If you open https://outlook.live.com/mail in a browser, are your recent emails there?
    3. When you are redirected to Copilot, do you see any error message, or does it simply open the Copilot page?

Click "Add comment" to let me know.

    Thanks!

If the credit card issue caused the subscription payment to fail, the first check is whether the Microsoft 365 subscription now shows correctly on the Services page. If payment is current, status changes can take up to 24 hours to sync across Microsoft services.

    Try this:

    1. Open the Microsoft account Services page: account.microsoft.com/services.
    2. Check whether the Microsoft 365 subscription shows as Active or Expired.
    3. If it is active, sign out of Outlook completely, restart the PC, and sign back in.
    4. If sign-in to the Microsoft account is failing, use the Sign-in Helper. It checks the email address or phone number being used and identifies common account problems.
    5. If the account still cannot be accessed after that, use Contact Microsoft Support, enter the problem, select Get Help, and then Contact Support.

If the issue is only in Outlook and the mailbox has stopped updating, that can also happen when the subscription or account connection is not fully restored yet after a billing problem.
