Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
The charge cannot be confirmed from billing details alone, but the supported next checks are:
- Review order history and look for multiple purchases for the same amount that appear close together.
- Check whether the £84.99 yearly charge and the £10.49 monthly charge are tied to different Microsoft accounts or subscriptions.
- On Manage your payments, select Investigate to search for other accounts using the same card if the yearly charge does not appear in the current account.
Common reasons this happens:
- A subscription has recurring billing enabled.
- A previously declined charge was charged again.
- The wrong Microsoft account was used.
- Another person, such as a family member, used the same card on a different Microsoft account.
- What looks like a duplicate may be catch-up billing after an earlier failed payment.
A yearly charge since August 2024 and a separate monthly charge since May 2021 does not by itself prove a duplicate charge. It may indicate two different subscriptions or two different accounts. To verify whether it is the same service, compare the product names and billing frequency in Services & subscriptions and order history.
If the charge is still unrecognized after checking order history and investigating the payment, use Contact Support. If card details may have been compromised, contact the bank or payment provider to prevent further charges.
