If your card shows as invalid, cross-check that it supports International payments. It is the root cause.

Common causes for this with Microsoft 365 payment methods are:

    1. Country/region mismatch For Microsoft payments, the payment method must be issued from the same country/region as the Microsoft account or tenant. If the card country, billing address, and account region do not match, the card can be rejected.
    2. Debit card limitations by market Microsoft accepts debit cards in many places, but support depends on country/region and payment system rules. In India, debit cards are supported only through Visa and Mastercard. Some regions also have restrictions on which card types are accepted.
    3. Card details must match exactly The name, address, and CVV must match exactly what the bank has on file. For Microsoft business billing guidance, Microsoft also calls out card number, expiration date, city, state, and ZIP/postal code as needing to match exactly.
    4. Bank security blocks Banks sometimes block Microsoft transactions for fraud prevention or require extra verification before the payment can go through.
    5. Insufficient funds, inactive card, or blocked card A declined payment can also happen if the card is inactive, blocked, or does not have enough available funds.
    6. Prepaid, virtual, or gift cards are not accepted If any of the cards being tried are virtual, prepaid, or gift-style cards, Microsoft does not accept them for these purchases.

    What to check next:

    1. Verify the Microsoft account country/region matches the country of the debit card and billing address.
    2. Re-enter the card and make sure the cardholder name, billing address, postal code, and CVV exactly match the bank record.
    3. Ask BCA or OCBC whether they are blocking:
      • online transactions
      • recurring payments
      • international transactions
      • Microsoft merchant charges
    4. Confirm the card is active and has enough available balance.
    5. If the card is virtual or prepaid, use a standard debit or credit card instead.
    6. If the issue continues after the bank confirms there is no block, contact Microsoft support.

For a Microsoft account, payment methods can be added from the Microsoft account payment settings. For Microsoft subscriptions, Microsoft also notes that a new payment method for a subscription is added from the Services & subscriptions page.
