Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hello,
Since this is a business account, its multifactor authentication is managed through your organization’s Microsoft Entra ID. Based on the described behavior, the sign-in is stopping at the MFA step before Power BI opens; this alone does not indicate a Power BI service issue.
As the forum’s AI recommended, leave the sign-in request open, then manually open and unlock Microsoft Authenticator. If the sign-in page displays a number, check whether Authenticator shows a pending request where that number can be entered.
Also verify that Authenticator notifications are enabled, the phone’s date and time are set automatically, the app is updated, and the phone has a working connection. You can test both Wi-Fi and mobile data and temporarily disconnect any VPN. Microsoft documents these checks here: Troubleshoot problems with Microsoft Authenticator | Microsoft Support
On the sign-in page, select Sign in another way or I can’t use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now, if shown. You can use another method only if it was previously registered and is permitted by your organization.
Please do not remove the business account from Authenticator at this stage unless another method works or an administrator is available to help you register it again.
If no other method is available, contact the administrator who manages your organization’s Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Entra accounts. An authorized administrator can review the account under Entra ID > Users > Authentication methods and use an appropriate recovery action, such as requiring MFA re-registration. If Temporary Access Pass is enabled in the organization, the administrator may also use it to help you register Authenticator again.
Could you confirm whether you are a regular user or the only administrator of the business tenant? Also, did this start after changing the phone, reinstalling Authenticator, or restoring the phone from a backup?
