Activate Windows After Hardware Change

Hello,

I recently upgrader almost all parts in my pc, before I did this I made sure my windows license was linked to my Microsoft account. When I checked settings/activation it clearly stated "license is linked to microsoft account".

After this I went along and changed my PC parts, installed windows 11 via USB and created a local account.

I then added the Microsoft account to my PC so i now sign in with the same Microsoft account that has the license, but it still said "no active license". I went into my Microsoft account on a web browser, and removed my previous hardware from my account.

Now I seem to have created a deadlock since I cannot reference the previous hardware when I select "I changed hardware" inside the activation troubleshooter. Help me get past this!

Where did you get your Windows licence was that pre-installed on the PC or did you purchase a full retail Windows licence direct from Microsoft or from a 3rd party retailer?

Or is your Windows licence based on a free upgrade from a previous Windows 7 or 8 licence?
