Azure for Students: Unable to validate account and cannot access Support

Hello Microsoft Support,

I am a B.Tech student trying to activate Azure for Students. When I try to activate Azure for Students, I receive: "You do not have access. Sorry but our systems are detecting a problem with your account and are unable to validate your access." I already tried Chrome Incognito, but the same error appears. When I try to contact Azure Support, I get another error: "Selected user account does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services' and cannot access the application ' in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first." Therefore I cannot even create a support ticket. My Azure for Students error details: Session ID: [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed] Timestamp UTC: 9/11/2026 06:08:45 AM Please help me verify my student eligibility and activate Azure for Students. Thank you.

    To help narrow down the cause, could you please confirm:

    • Are you registering with a university-issued email address?
    • Have you ever activated Azure for Students, Azure for Students Starter, or an Azure Free Trial using this Microsoft account before?
    • Do you have an active GitHub Student Developer Pack associated with your student status?

    If you have a verified GitHub Student Developer Pack, I recommend trying the Azure for Students verification process through that route, as it may provide an alternative method to validate your student eligibility.

    • Go to https://signup.azure.com/studentverification?offerType=1> Click “Sign in with GitHub” and sign in with your GitHub user ID (not email).
    • In GitHub Settings > Emails, ensure your university email is listed and set as Primary.
    • After GitHub confirms your Student Developer Pack, select “Verification code” on the Azure page and paste the unique code from GitHub.

    If the problem continues, I recommend contacting the Azure for Education team directly for a manual review of your eligibility and provisioning status: Azure for Education Contact Portal

    When submitting your request, include:

    • The exact Azure for Students error message.
    • The exact Support Portal error message.
