My Canon MF237W printer is not printing or scanning on new ASUS laptop with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 installed purchased June 2026. Something in the Windows or Microsoft software is blocking the printing and scanning. Using both USB cable and wi fi connections. Several technicians have tried to fix this but whenever the test print is sent it will not come through and print. Please help as do not want to but a new printer. I am not a child but an adult.

    Open the Settings App.

Go to Bluetooth and Devices - Printers and Scanners.

Check if the 'Windows Protected Print Mode' setting is enabled.

If it is, remove your printer from that setting, then disable that setting.

Restart your PC to apply the change.

If that does not resolve the problem, the best option is to completely uninstall your printer/scanner, then restart your PC and go to the support page for your printer on the manufacturers website to download and reinstall the version of printer drivers, firmware and associated software they provide for your printer model.
