    Hello,

If you are a child, family restrictions may apply to your account. To access certain websites or increase your screen time, contact the family organizer who originally provided consent. Only this organizer can manage consent and can remove these restrictions on your account.

If you cannot access the organizer's account, use the link below to reset its password:

    https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx

Alternatively, fill in the account recovery form to recover the account.

    https://account.live.com/acsr

Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. You can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

If the account is stuck in Microsoft Family Safety and the parent account no longer works, the supported steps are:

    1. Use the sign-in helper first to check whether the Microsoft account issue can be identified: Sign-in helper
    2. If the problem is that the parent account is outdated or cannot sign in, use the Microsoft account sign-in recovery flow: Start
    3. If the account is still treated like a child account on the PC even after family settings were changed online, create a new local administrator account on the computer and move personal files to that new profile. The accepted guidance for this scenario is:
      • Go to Settings > Accounts > Family & other users.
      • Select Add someone else to this PC.
      • Choose I don’t have this person’s sign-in information.
      • Choose Add a user without a Microsoft account.
      • Create the account, then change it to Administrator.
      • Sign in to the new account and copy personal files from the old profile.
      • Do not copy the hidden AppData folder, because that can carry over the broken restrictions.
    4. For technical support, use Contact Microsoft Support. Support can route to the best option, but support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or change account details.
