Hi L. Greer,
If Windows is suddenly reporting that the device is not TPM compliant while BitLocker is suspended, it may indicate that the TPM is no longer being detected correctly by the system. This can sometimes occur after a BIOS/UEFI change, firmware update, or an unexpected TPM state change.
As an additional step, try the following:
- Press Windows + R, type
tpm.mscand press Enter. - Check whether the TPM is detected and note any error message shown.
- Open Device Manager and expand Security devices.
- If the TPM device is listed, right-click it and select Uninstall device.
- Restart the computer and allow Windows to rediscover and reinstall the TPM automatically.
If the TPM is not detected after restart, it would be worth checking the device manufacturer's support site for any available BIOS/UEFI updates that specifically mention TPM or security processor improvements.
Before making any TPM-related changes, make sure your BitLocker recovery key is available as a precaution.
I hope this helps point you in the right direction. Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.
