Does this only affect the Cricut machine? What about other bluetooth devices, can they stay connected to the computer?

This will help narrow down if we are troubleshooting the computer, or the Cricut device.

For a Bluetooth device that connects and then disconnects right away in Windows 11, use this order:

    1. Run the automated Bluetooth troubleshooter in the Get Help app first. It can automatically diagnose and fix common Bluetooth problems.
    2. Check the Bluetooth device itself:
      • Turn the Cricut off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
      • Keep it close to the PC.
      • If it is near a USB device plugged into a USB 3.0 port, move it farther away. Unshielded USB devices can interfere with Bluetooth.
    3. Verify Windows 11 Bluetooth settings:
      • Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
      • Turn Bluetooth off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
      • Make sure Airplane mode is off from the taskbar quick settings.
    4. Remove and pair the device again:
      • Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices.
      • Find the Bluetooth device, select More options > Remove device > Yes.
      • Pair it again.
    5. Change Bluetooth discovery to show all device types:
      • Go to Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Devices.
      • Under Device settings > Bluetooth devices discovery, select Advanced.
    6. If the connection keeps dropping, turn off power-saving features that can interrupt Bluetooth:
      • Turn off Energy Saver from the taskbar battery icon if it is enabled.
      • Open Device Manager.
      • Expand Bluetooth.
      • Right-click the Bluetooth device.
      • Open Power Management and clear Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
    7. Restart the Bluetooth service:
      • Press Windows key + R.
      • Type services.msc and select OK.
      • Right-click Bluetooth Support Service and select Restart.
    8. Update the Bluetooth driver:
      • Open Device Manager.
      • Expand Bluetooth.
      • Right-click the Bluetooth adapter and select Update driver.
      • Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
      • Restart the PC if prompted.
      • If Windows does not find a newer driver, install the latest Bluetooth driver from the PC manufacturer’s website, then restart.

If the issue started after a Windows update or the current driver is generic, the manufacturer’s Bluetooth driver is often the most important fix for repeated connect/disconnect behavior.
