I am using a Dell i3147 laptop computer with Windows 8 and when I start the computer the OD icon pops up in the startup tray then quickly disappears. When I open the OD app it tells me to update Windows. I have installed all the most recent updates for Windows, however I am still unable to sign in to OD. I am able to sign in to all other Microsoft apps, but not OD, keeps telling me to update. Please help. Thanks

The OneDrive app for Windows 8 is no longer supported. I don't understand the AI-generated answer, since this article says otherwise.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/onedrive-sync-app-no-longer-supported-on-windows-7-8-or-8-1

Personal OneDrive desktop apps running on these operating systems will stop syncing to the cloud on March 1, 2022

If you are currently using one of these operating systems, we recommend updating your operating system to either Windows 10 or Windows 11 to avoid disruption.
