I've been using this microsoft account since I started college 3 years ago. I have never has an issue with downloading powerpoints and editing on them. But, now I do. It is only letting me view it and is saying [Moderator note: Personally Identifiable Information removed]@live.carlow.edu does not allow editing on a Mac. I'm not sure what to do or what went wrong, but if I could have some assistance with this, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

    Based on your description, I understand that you've been using your college Microsoft account for the past three years without issues editing PowerPoint files. Recently, Office has switched to view-only mode and is displaying a message that your school account does not allow editing on a Mac.

    To help determine what's causing the problem, could you please confirm the following:

    • Does the issue occur with all PowerPoint files or only specific files?
    • Have there been any recent changes to your school account, Microsoft 365 license, or device?
    • Have you tried signing out of all Microsoft Office applications on your Mac and then signing back in with your school account? If so, did that change the behavior?
    • When you open PowerPoint and navigate to PowerPoint > About PowerPoint, does it show that Office is activated, or does it display any activation or licensing errors?
