I've tried all the suggestions for getting outlook to sync, have cleared cache, removed account, uninstalled/installed... nothing works. My Google account is syncing but the yahoo account isn't. In fact it shows completely empty. On my laptops it's fine but on the phone it isn't

    Hello

Since Yahoo works on your laptops, this is likely an authorization problem between Yahoo and Outlook for Android.

Please open Yahoo Account Security in a browser and remove the existing Microsoft Outlook connection if listed. Then go to Android Settings > Apps > Outlook > Storage > Clear data, restart the phone, and add the account again using the Yahoo sign-in option rather than manual IMAP.

If it is still empty, please tell me your Android version, Outlook app version, and whether the Yahoo folders appear in Outlook.

    Best regards,

For a Yahoo account in Outlook for Android, the supported next steps are:

    1. In Outlook for Android, go to Settings > tap the Yahoo account > Reset Account.
    2. If it still shows empty, go to Settings > tap the Yahoo account > Delete Account > Delete From This Device.
    3. Add the Yahoo account again in Outlook for Android.
    4. If Outlook prompts to add the account as IMAP, calendar and contacts will not sync through that setup. IMAP and POP only sync email.
    5. Since the account works on the laptops, if the Yahoo account still does not sync in Outlook for Android after reset and re-adding, the issue may be with the email app or the provider setup. In that case, contact Microsoft support for Outlook app issues.

If the problem is only on the phone, a full phone restart is also worth doing before or after re-adding the account.
