Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
If the account is locked, unlock it by signing in at Sign in to request a security code. Any phone number that can receive text messages can be used for the code; it does not need to already be associated with the account.
If email codes are not arriving:
- Verify the sign-in name is exactly correct, including the domain, such as
.comvs.co.uk, and check for spelling differences in the email name. - On the verification screen, if the listed phone or email is not recognized or no longer accessible, select I don't have any of these and follow the prompts.
- If the account still cannot be accessed, use the Sign-in Helper to detect account issues and get the next recovery steps.
- If the password is correct but sign-in still fails, use Recover your account, choose where to receive the security code, enter the code, and set a new password.
If the account shows "You have tried too many times with an incorrect password", use the Sign-in Helper if the issue persists.
If the account is specifically locked due to suspicious activity and the sign-in page does not show Next, use the aka.ms/ link shown in that window to submit the reinstatement form. After submission, a Microsoft Online Safety support agent reviews the request and contacts by email. Do not submit multiple requests, because that can slow the response.
Microsoft support agents cannot send password reset links or directly change account details for account-protection reasons.
