My outlook language (email) has been changed to a foreign language. How do I correct it?

If the AI Answer did not help you get your Outlook language back to normal, please advise and I'll offer some other suggestions.

But, a language change that you didn't perform can often be an indication that your account might have been compromised. Please check your Recent Activity Page and advise if there have been any successful sign-ins to your account that you can not account for.

For Outlook on the web or Outlook.com:

Select Settings at the top of the page.
Select General > Language and time.
In Language (Country/Region), select the preferred language.
Select Save.

If the default folder names are also in the wrong language, use Outlook on the web and do this:

Select Settings > View all Outlook settings.
Select General > Language and time.
Change the language to the preferred language.
Select Rename default folders so their names match the specified language.
Select Save.

If the preferred language is already selected but folder names are still wrong, switch to a different language, save, switch back to the preferred language, and save again.
