Common reasons Bluetooth does not appear in Device Manager on Windows 11:
- The PC may not support Bluetooth. If this is a new device setup and Bluetooth is missing, check the product specifications to confirm the device has Bluetooth hardware.
- Bluetooth may be turned off. Check Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices and make sure Bluetooth is on. Also check the taskbar quick settings and make sure Airplane mode is off.
- The adapter or driver may not be working correctly. In Device Manager, select Action > Scan for hardware changes. If the adapter appears, try Update driver.
- The driver may need to be reinstalled. In Device Manager, expand Bluetooth, right-click the Bluetooth adapter, select Uninstall device, then shut down or restart the PC. Windows should try to reinstall the driver. If it does not, open Device Manager and select Action > Scan for hardware changes.
- Windows may not have the latest driver. Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates, install available updates, and restart.
- If Windows still cannot find Bluetooth or the driver, install the latest Bluetooth driver from the PC manufacturer’s support site.
- Run the built-in troubleshooter: Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Bluetooth > Run.
If Bluetooth is missing everywhere and the troubleshooter says the device does not have Bluetooth, that usually points to either missing Bluetooth hardware support or a driver/hardware detection problem.
