I was in the middle of my Physics 3 lab, working on an excel sheet on my microsoft account, when it randomly locked me out and gave me a notification saying "Account Recovery Has Been Locked." I have looked at everything and tried everything I haver seen online. Nothing has worked. The account is linked to my main xbox account with over 6k hours, and a bunch of streaming and other services. I am looking for any other resolves that may work, or a representative to speak to, and I mean an actual person, not AI.

    Hello justus vincent,

I understand how concerning this is, especially when the account is linked to important services and your Xbox profile.

If the message specifically states that Account Recovery has been locked, there are unfortunately no additional user-side steps available to bypass or manually remove the lock. This is a security measure applied by Microsoft's account recovery system.

To better understand the situation, could you confirm:

    • Is this a personal Microsoft account (Outlook.com, Hotmail.com, Live.com, etc.)?
    • What is the exact wording of the lock message?
    • Does the message appear when signing in, or when submitting the account recovery form?

If possible, please share a screenshot with any personal information removed.

    Looking for your update.
