Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy
For a Microsoft account, direct phone access to a live support agent is not the primary support path. The supported path is to use Microsoft Support or Get Help, then request chat or a callback if that option is offered for the account, product, subscription, and region.
Steps:
- Go to Contact a Microsoft support agent or Get Help on the web.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account that needs help, if possible.
- Enter a short description such as Microsoft account security or Chat with an agent.
- Select Contact support.
- Choose the relevant product and category.
- If available, select request a call / Call me back or live chat.
For sign-in problems, start with the sign-in helper first: Start sign-in helper.
Important: support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or access and change account details.
If accessibility support is needed, the Microsoft Disability Answer Desk is available: Microsoft Disability Answer Desk.
