Poblem getting in to M365

Use the Microsoft account that is associated with the Microsoft 365 purchase.

1. Open an Office app.
2. When prompted to activate, sign in with the Microsoft account that was used to buy Microsoft 365.
3. If neither Gmail account works, check which account actually owns the subscription by signing in to Services & subscriptions at https://account.microsoft.com/services. The Microsoft 365 subscription should be listed there.
4. If the subscription is listed under one account, use that same account to activate Office.
5. If activation still fails, remove extra Office installations because multiple copies can block activation:
   • Open Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features
   • Search for office
   • Uninstall versions that are not being used
   • Restart the PC
   • Open an Office app and sign in again
6. If the Activation Wizard appears, follow the prompts in the wizard.

If the product was redeemed from a retail key, the correct account is the one used when the key was redeemed. If someone else installed or redeemed it using their account, support is required and proof of purchase should be available.

If the account email or password is no longer remembered, use the Sign-in Helper.
