About a month ago my computer crashed due to SSD failure. My dealer sold me a new SSD and upgraded me to Win11. How do I reinstall Microsoft 365. I only use Word and Excel. I have a paid account; you can look me up.

  1. Sign in to your Microsoft account dashboard at https://account.microsoft.com with the same Microsoft account used to set up the Microsoft 365 subscription.
  2. Open Services & subscriptions or Subscriptions.
  3. Confirm the Microsoft 365 subscription is active.
  4. Select Install Microsoft 365.
  5. In the install dialog, choose the language and version, then select Install.
  6. Run the downloaded installer file (OfficeSetup.exe).
  7. When installation finishes, open Word or Excel while connected to the internet.
  8. If prompted, sign in with the same Microsoft account to activate Microsoft 365.

If Microsoft 365 features are missing after install, first verify the subscription is active on Services & subscriptions. If needed, completely uninstall Office with the uninstall support tool, restart the PC, and then reinstall.

If Office was preinstalled on the old PC and did not use a product key or Microsoft account for activation, reinstall it from the Microsoft Store app instead.

If the problem continues after reinstalling, contact Microsoft support.

When you first activated Office that licence should have become associated to your Microsoft Account as a digital licence online and it is from there that you can re-install Office anytime you need to without the need for a product key:
