Xbox 360 log in

If two-step verification is turned on for the Microsoft account, Xbox 360 requires an app password instead of the normal account password.

1. Get a new app password.
2. On the Xbox 360, enter that app password instead of the Microsoft account password.
3. To avoid entering it every time on that console, select Remember me.
4. Select Sign In.

If the password is forgotten and access to the account is needed first, use the Microsoft account recovery flow:

1. On the sign-in page, select Forgot password? or use Reset password.
2. Enter the account username and select Next.
3. Choose where to receive a verification code.
4. Enter the code, then create a new password.

If no verification option is available or the listed recovery details are not recognized, use the Sign-in Helper.
