Perfect, it is just a glitch then.

Let me suggest clearing cookies first:

On the webpage, click the Lock icon on the browser's address bar on the left.

Click Cookies and Site data > Manage on device site data.

On the popup that opens, remove all cookies one by one, by selecting each cookie and remove the same.

Reload the page and sign in again using the credentials.

    User's image

Also clear cache using the browser settings.

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.

Thanks, I wonder if it is a bug from MS side and not visible on the other email addresses.

Does it show when you open Outlook in a Private Window too?

Thanks. Do you use any email client apart from Outlook on the web? Then extra name might have been added from that.

Please go to https://account.microsoft.com/profile page and let me know if the name is intact there.

    Hi John,

I think I might be on the same page as you, that is what I am thinking must be the problem.

I wanted to know if it is a nickname problem or a salutation problem, like it shows Mr John on the name?

I look forward to hearing from you to get the results of the troubleshooting.

If the unwanted name appears when entering the address in Outlook, it is usually a saved suggested recipient or autocomplete entry, not a new account alias.

    Try these steps:

    1. In Outlook on the web, start a new message.
    2. In the To field, type the email address.
    3. When the unwanted suggestion appears, point to it and select the X to remove it.

If it keeps returning, clear the suggested people data:

    1. In Outlook on the web, go to Settings > General > Privacy and data.
    2. Under Suggested people, select Clear data and turn it off.
    3. Wait up to 24 hours, then turn it back on if needed.

If the issue is with the Microsoft account sign-in name or alias instead of Outlook suggestions, manage the aliases on the Microsoft account:

    1. Go to Edit account info.
    2. Choose Add email or Remove next to an existing address.
    3. If needed, set the correct address as the primary alias.

Important: removing an email address or alias can affect sign-in and verification methods.
