Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Unfortunately you cannot change the country or region directly inside an existing payment method or during checkout. You must first update the country or region on your overall Microsoft Account profile before adding a new card from a different region.
To fix the region mismatch, first update your account profile region. Go to the Microsoft Account Dashboard and sign in. Select Your info from the top menu, then select Edit profile info and change your Country or region to match the country or region associated with your new payment card. Save the changes.
After updating your account region, go to Microsoft Payment Options and select Add a new payment method. Enter the new card details along with the corresponding billing address. The payment method should use the same country or region as your Microsoft Account profile.
If you have an active Microsoft 365 subscription and the region change fails, the subscription may be locked to the region where it was originally purchased. If you receive a region or currency mismatch error, you may need to cancel the existing Microsoft 365 subscription and allow it to expire before purchasing a new subscription using the updated regional profile and payment method.
