365 Basic and Pro Features be deleted if still have Family acc.

We have 365 Family acc but I also have my own 365 Basic. Can I cancel my Basic without loosing data? Also I am being charged £33.49 for MS Pro Features. What is it and can I cancel that with the < 30 day time limit?

Hello

If you have Msft 365 Family, you definitely do not need Microsoft 365 Basic, that's redudant. Basic is for 100GB OneDrive storage and Family already gives you 1TB of OneDrive storage. They cannot be stacked anyway, so yes, you want to cancel Basic, and you will not lose data, unless the Basic plan is on a different account than the Family plan's account, then make sure you download the data from OneDrive before you cancel.

As for the MS Pro feature, that doesn't ring a bell. Is that the exact product name "Microsoft Pro"? Can you provide the exact full name as it is listed in your account?

Thanks Emily. I'll download just in case. Regarding the Pro product this was the message I got in the email informing me about it

'Your subscription to Pro Features - 1 Year has been renewed

On Sunday, August 16, 2026, you were charged GBP 33.49 to renew your subscription.'

---and in my Msft account it just has 'Pro Features- 1 Year £27.91' (VAT gets added) after a blue box with an anticlockwise arrow and three horizontal lines within. I could just cancel but want to be sure to get my money refunded. My bank statement also just shows 'Microsoft*Pro Features' in the description with the banking location as Reading Berkshire UK. Suppose I must have ordered it a year or two ago but dont know what it is. Any help much appreciated.

That does not sound like a Microsoft 365 or Windows subscription. It is much more likely an in-app subscription purchased through the Microsoft Store.

If this appears under Microsoft account > Order history, click the entry or Order details. It should normally show the app/publisher or a product/order number that can identify it.

Thanks Emily. Under Order History ' All Catagories' , Pro Features shows up for three years along with my un-needed 365Basic and Ad-Free Outlook subscriptions. However Pro Features doesn't show up in any of the specific catagories like Digital or Physical?

Googled the symbol and it gave

Then tried Googling what the price feature it might relate to and it suggested might be related to 365 Business Premium or Dynamics 365 Professional subs. I'm semi-retired so don't need any Pro features so will just attempt to cancel it and hope for the best. Couldn't track down any more details.
