Changing a past due account from annual billing to monthly billing

My Microsoft 365 annual renewal has failed and is showing as past due. I do not want to renew annually. I want to continue the subscription on monthly billing. The account does not give me the option to switch the recurrence because of the past-due balance. Can you cancel/reverse the pending annual renewal and place the subscription on monthly billing without charging the annual amount?

Hello, good day and thanks for your question. I understand that you are trying to change from the annual to a monthly billing for your Microsoft 365 subscription.

Please take note that you will not be able simply switch as you will have to turn off the auto renewal on the current one and it is either you let it expire and then sign up for the plan again and from there you can choose the monthly payment option.
