Your update password does not work as it fails to send the code to the alternative registered email address! The is has caused me so many problems as I was locked out of my Windows 11 installation, no code was sent each time to gain access to the operating system.
I got fed up and installed Windows 10 and I am trying to update my password on my years old Microsoft account as my Spotify has been hacked so I am updating my password. Yet again no verification code was sent to my alternative email address!
I am a programmer and a web designer and I can tell you Microsoft, you are really bad at coding when your team cannot even get a simple forgot/update password script to work. It's pathetic in all honesty

- Under Products & Services, select Microsoft 365 and Office. Choose Technical Support as the category and then confirm.
- Select Chat with a support agent in your web browser if that option is available.
When contacting support, provide the approximate date and time of a recent failed code request and the email provider involved. Please do not post your email address, verification information, or other personal details publicly.
