Live Account Support

I'm having a lot of issues with my Microsoft account. Tried to purchase a subscription for Visio 2 but when I installed it, the interface asked me to start a free trial or to enter a product key which I wasn't provided. It was very difficult but eventually I was able to cancel the subscription. I don't know what I did wrong, but it did ask me for company information when I purchased and I think it saw me as using a work account. I can only guess this was the issue with logging in and using the software but I can't be sure. I also have a work account, an old school account, and microsoft live account. I don't know if those were causing a problem. I need to access the desktop viersion of Visio but am afraid to try and purchase again. The self support options we not helpful, the phone number directs me to self support options, and I'm left with no options for assistance. Is there any way that I could find some help that could walk me through the process and ensure my account is the correct one to use?

Hi @Matt Abraham

I am sorry to hear about the experience you've had trying to purchase and activate Visio.

From your description, it sounds like the Visio subscription may have been associated with a different Microsoft account than the one used to sign in to the Visio application. Since you mentioned having multiple accounts, this could explain why the application prompted you to start a trial or enter a product key instead of recognizing the subscription.

Visio Plan 2 subscriptions typically activate through the account that owns the license rather than through a separate product key.

Could you please sign in to your Microsoft account and check whether the Visio subscription is listed under Services & subscriptions?

  1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services
  2. Sign in with the Microsoft account that you used when purchasing Visio.
  3. Verify whether Visio Plan 2 appears in the list of active subscriptions.

Please check and let me know.
