Unexpected Gaming Transaction Fee Charged with Microsoft 365 Renewal

My Microsoft 365 subscription is renewed annually in August. This year, along with the regular renewal fee, I noticed an additional charge of ₹97.98, which has been described as a “Gaming Transaction” fee.

I have not made any gaming-related purchase or transaction, nor did I authorize any such charge.

Could someone please clarify why this fee has been charged along with my Microsoft 365 renewal? Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?

I would appreciate an explanation regarding the nature of this charge and, if it has been incorrectly applied, guidance on how I can get it refunded.

Please can you sign into the Microsoft account services page here: https://account.microsoft.com/services

This lists all of the subscriptions that are tied to your Microsoft account. Please can you look for any subscription you are not wanting to be signed up to. Once you find the subscription, please click "Managed" on the right-hand side.

This will open the subscription management page that will allow you to manage the subscription. You should see an option to cancel the subscription. This should be under the option to change subscription plan.

Please click onto cancel subscription and follow the instructions to cancel the subscription. If you are eligible for a refund, the page will outline this and process the refund back to you.

If you can't find the subscription on your services page, please let me know. I can offer steps to find the subscription using the payment page as this subscription may be located on a different Microsoft account that has used your bank details to purchase the subscription with.
