Will organization identity validation accept a sole proprietorship's registered DBA in the O field?

I am a US sole proprietor preparing to sign Windows audio software. I have a

registered fictitious business name (DBA) filed with my county, and I trade

publicly under that name, not under my personal legal name.

Your documentation states that CN and O values must always be the legal

entity's validated name, and that custom values are not permitted.

My question: under organization identity validation, will Artifact Signing

validate a sole proprietorship against its registered DBA, so that the

certificate's Organization field shows the business name rather than my

personal legal name?

If yes, what documents establish the DBA: the filed fictitious business name

statement, the newspaper publication affidavit, an EIN letter, or something

else?

If no, and a sole proprietor's certificate can only ever carry their personal

legal name, please confirm that directly. It decides whether Artifact Signing

is usable for us or whether we buy an OV certificate from a commercial CA

instead.
