Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi @nayye JR-
Based on your description, it sounds like Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled for your account, and the original Authenticator registration may have been removed when you unbound and uninstalled the app. Simply reinstalling Microsoft Authenticator does not always restore the previous MFA registration.
Could you please confirm:
- Are you the administrator of the Microsoft 365 tenant, or are there other admins in your organization?
- Can you access your account through other methods, such as email, SMS, or backup authentication methods?
If another administrator is available, they can reset your MFA methods from the Microsoft Entra admin center. After the reset, you should be able to sign in again and register a new Authenticator device. You can suggest that they check this article for steps on resetting MFA: Manage user authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication
If you are the only administrator and no authentication methods are available, you may need to contact Microsoft Support for assistance with account recovery. You can find Microsoft's support numbers here: Contact Microsoft customer support | Microsoft Support
Looking forward to your update.
