At wits end trying to get sound on Teams

I have tried everything I can find and nothing seems to work. I have tried re-installing and deleting the app, web version after deleting the app, etc. and nothing works. Get video, the mic works but no sound playback. Tried on Chrome and Edge, no change.

Running win 11 on Lenovo thinkpad.

Please help!

The "Test mic and speaker" feature is not reliable and might be confusing.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5987784/speaker-is-not-functioning-correctly-while-testing

As a rule, the microphone test is working, and if you can hear the playback for the microphone test, then this means that both microphone and speaker work. Nothing to worry about.

It is a big mystery why the "Make a test call" feature is not included in Teams Personal. Personally, I'm using the old good Skype "Echo / Sound Test Service ." bot to test both audio and video performance. Unfortunately, Microsoft is about to remove this bot from Teams Personal accounts, but insofar, it is available at least for me.

If you are using MS 365 Family subscription with Teams, then your Teams account is Personal. The "Make a test call" option is not available in Teams Personal account. This feature is only available in Teams Business account.

How are you testing sound in your Teams? Have you actually made a call to another contact or are you testing your microphone and speaker in Teams meeting screen?

    1. Do you have sound in other apps, such as YouTube, Zoom or Windows system sounds? Yes - works fine in Zom, Youtube, Windows etc.
    2. Are you using the ThinkPad’s built-in speakers, headphones, Bluetooth audio, or a docking station? I have tried the built in speakers and those on my monitor and neither work. With and without my Lenovo dock.
    3. In Teams > Settings > Devices, what is selected under Speaker, and does the Make a test call play any sound when you switch around with many output devices? I deleted the app but it didnt work when I had it installed. The web version doesnt have the test feature.
    4. When Teams is playing audio, does the Windows Volume Mixer show Teams as an active app Yes, and is its volume muted or routed to a different output device? Sound doesnt work on any of the devices.
    5. Does Teams sound work when you join a meeting from another device, such as a phone? Works fine on my Iphone
      1. I did notcie that my Logi microphone is not showing although the mic appears to be picking up sound.
