A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Dear John,
Here is how to update it manually:
- Select the OneDrive cloud icon near the clock, open Settings, then go to About and note the version number.
- Download the latest version from Microsoft OneDrive.
- Run the downloaded OneDriveSetup.exe. This updates the existing installation in place, your cloud files are not affected and your sync folders do not need recreating.
- Restart OneDrive by opening Start, searching for OneDrive, and selecting the desktop app.
One thing worth checking first: are these work or school PCs managed by an IT department? If so, OneDrive updates are often controlled centrally or held back on a slower update ring, which would explain why they are not updating on their own. In that case a manual reinstall will work, but the same thing will happen again at the next release unless the policy is changed.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you need anything else.
