If the sign-in alias was changed from the original Gmail address to a different Outlook.com alias, the next steps are:

    1. Start with the hacked-account recovery flow and use the sign-in helper tool: Start.
    2. Before changing any password, run a full malware scan on the PC:
      • Open Windows Security
      • Go to Virus and threat protection
      • Select Scan options > Full scan > Scan now
    3. If any old alias is still recognized, try password reset from Recover your account: Recover your account.
    4. If the alias used for sign-in was changed and the original address now appears not to exist, contact Microsoft Support through the official support flow. Support can advise on available recovery options, but support agents cannot send password reset links or directly change account details.
    5. If support is needed, use:

    If access is regained, immediately:

    • Change the password
    • Review connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies
    • Check sign-in verification methods and account security settings
