I'm trying to pay for a past due payment because my card wasn't sufficient funds when they charged it.

I've tried several times as well as Paypal and everything in between from entering a fake billing address to double and triple checking that the billing address matches with the one the card issuer has on file, but I keep getting the same message and it's been extremely frustrating since due to the lack of contact possibilities it doesn't seem to be possible to talk to a human about this issue, preferably one that works at Microsoft.

I know, I'm not the only one, so this is my last resort before they might cancel my subscription and/or delete all my data and maybe even lock me out of my account.

Another thing I don't understand is that for some reason, when I click on "pay now" on the subscriptions page and then click on "add a way to pay" the "country/region" field is prefilled with "Cyprus" and grayed out - is this just me?

    Hello Lisa B

I can see that you are having issue with paying for a past due payment

The grayed-out Cyprus field suggests that the subscription or billing profile may be registered in that country/region. Please do not enter a fake billing address, as the payment information must match the details held by your card issuer.

First, sign in to Payment options, open the payment method, and verify the name, billing address, expiration date, and security code. Then return to Services & subscriptions, select Pay now, and retry the payment.

If Cyprus is not the correct country and remains locked, this will likely require Microsoft support to review the subscription’s region and payment profile. Here is how you can contact them:

    1. Open a website link - Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. In the box below "We're here to help", type Microsoft 365, click "Get Help", and then click "Contact Support" below.
    3. In this section, you will need to sign in to your Microsoft account.
    4. Select "Microsoft 365 and Office" under Products & Services, select "Technical Support" as the category, and click to confirm
    5. You can select " Chat with a support agent in your web browser " to access the chat window.

I hope Microsoft Support can correct the billing profile so you can settle the balance without further unsuccessful payment attempts.

    Have a nice day.
