MSN Community Profile issues

I have had an MSN Community Profile for 2+ years. I have had comments deleted for "not meeting community guidelines". But recently, for more than a month now, if I try to comment on an article, I am directed to "create an account". And all of my previous comments / interactions are gone.

I have gotten no notification of violation saying I am restricted. Yet, it seems the account has been deactivated or deleted. I have "cleared cache / history....yada, yada......all of the suggestions, and still have the same issue. Can anyone provide insight on what happened to my profile and why?

What likely happened is one of these two cases:

    1. The MSN commenting/profile state was restricted or removed on the MSN side.
      • MSN article comments and account restrictions are handled by MSN’s own moderation systems.
      • When comments stop working, profiles appear missing, or the site starts prompting to create an account again, Microsoft Q&A and Windows settings cannot show the reason or reverse it.
      • The accepted guidance for MSN comment/profile issues is to use the Feedback option on an MSN page so the MSN team can investigate.
    2. The underlying Microsoft account sign-in state changed.
      • If MSN cannot recognize the signed-in account, it can behave as if no profile exists.
      • If the username is not recognized or the account appears missing, use the Sign-in Helper tool.
      • If the Microsoft account has not been signed in to for more than two years, it may have been deleted and can no longer be reopened.
      • A closed Microsoft account can only be reopened during its 30-day or 60-day grace period.

Since cache/history clearing was already tried, the supported next path is:

    1. Open an MSN page with comments.
    2. Use the Feedback option at the bottom right.
    3. Report that:
      • the MSN Community Profile now prompts to create an account,
      • previous comments/interactions are gone,
      • no restriction notice was received,
      • the issue has lasted more than a month.
    4. If the Microsoft account itself is not being recognized, use the Sign-in Helper tool from the Microsoft account sign-in support page.

If the Microsoft account was closed or deleted due to inactivity, the old profile/comments would not be recoverable through browser troubleshooting.
