Organizing, editing, and coordinating meetings and events within Microsoft Teams calendars
Dear @DataLine Admin,
Based on the error message "You do not have permissions to invite others. Please contact your administrator". This behavior is typically related to a Teams policy or permission configuration rather than a client-side issue. Even when users appear to have the same role or permissions within a Team, they may be assigned different Teams policies, which can affect their ability to invite participants or guests.
To help narrow down the root cause, could you please confirm:
- Could you please confirm whether the affected users are Team Owners or Team Members in the Team where they are receiving the error?
- Does the error occur when scheduling a meeting, inviting attendees to a meeting, or adding members to a Team?
- Are the invited users internal or external to your organization?
- Is the issue affecting all users assigned to a specific policy, or only a few individual accounts?
In the meantime, if you are an end user, I recommend contacting your organization's IT administrator to request approval and enable the feature that allows users to invite others to meetings. This is an internal administrative setting within your Microsoft 365 tenant, and only your administrators have the authority to modify it in accordance with your organization's policies.
If you are a Teams Administrator, please provide the information requested in my previous questions so that I can assist you more effectively with further troubleshooting.
I look forward to your update.
