Artifact Signing Individual Public Trust – AU10TIX only allows one side of U.S. driver’s license

I am completing Individual Public Trust identity validation for Azure Artifact Signing using a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Microsoft’s Artifact Signing documentation says that for a two-sided ID, each side should be captured separately.

In my AU10TIX verification session, I am only given one document-capture step.

• The physical front of my driver’s license is repeatedly not recognized.
• The physical back/PDF417 barcode is recognized and advances the flow.
• The verification then does not request the front/portrait side before moving toward biometric verification.

There does not appear to be any user-facing setting in Azure, Microsoft Authenticator, or AU10TIX to enable front-and-back capture.

Is the AU10TIX session for Artifact Signing Individual Public Trust supposed to request both sides of a U.S. driver’s license? If so, can Microsoft reset or correct the verification session so it uses the proper two-sided capture flow?

I can provide my Identity Validation ID, timestamps, and screenshots privately to Microsoft staff. I will not post identity documents publicly.
